Eight years ago today I married the most amazing man. Through these years we have experienced so much together. We have worked hard. Steve at Lockheed and me working as a Recreational Therapist up until last year, and now working hard to raise two boys. We bought our first home four years ago. We have two amazing little boys that bring us so much joy. We have shared great times together as well as some really difficult ones too.
We have seen our love for one another grow so much in the past eight years. We look back and remember that first year of marriage and laugh (with relief) at how much we have grown. We laugh about our first disagreement; how a tube of toothpa
Steve is my match. I thank God that we can spend each day living life together. He is the love of my life and I hope that the bonds of our marriage only continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
These are the vows I said to Steve eight years ago. I think that actually living out these vows every day makes them even more precious to me.
I, Jennifer take you Stephen to be my husband Secured in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I reaffirm to you in the presence of God and these witnesses my pledge to stay by your side as your faithful wife in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, through good times and bad. I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you as long as we both shall live.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
